Yeah that's right lovers! This weekend I competed in an AVEDA earth month competition at the Rizzieri AVEDA Institute in voorhees NJ. Me & my two friends/coworkers Gavin Tanski http://www.facebook.com/gtanski & Sydney Shelley http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=678766666 & our awesome model Lindsey! Feel free to Add them... Anyways.......... our look was inspired by a rain cloud which transcended into rain drops constructed out of hair, a peplum top that resembled a umbrella to protect the skirt which was constructed out of AVEDA model poster images.. the look was cohesive and had a story which is why they chose us as the WINNER! we each won a certificate for $950.00 in AVEDA Advanced ACADEMY Education.. I'm thinking LONDON! I hand crafted the outfit and did the Makeup for the look.. it was a super neutral colored look, dark sultry eyes w. angular cheaks and nude glossy lips... The makeup btdubbs got us extra point.. =) Here are some pics of the WINNING look!..

Not a lot of people realize that as a professional/freelance makeup artist that there are a ton of discounts that are offered! illamasqua offers a discount if u register, Stila Cosmetics offers a discount, Smashbox, OCC MAKEUP, MAC, Makeup forever, Temptu, Nars, Lorac, even an already inexpensive brand like NYX offers 30% to artists.. We all know that we go through so many of our favorites and this is just that little something extra that totally helps us to not break the bank while we build our kits..
